Lara Schnaubelt

I am a second-year Master ́s student in biochemistry at the Ruprecht-Karls University in Heidelberg, Germany. I gained my first practical research experience during my undergraduate studies at Goethe University in Frankfurt investigating the DNA binding preference of protein domains. During my Master ́s, I had the opportunity to join a lab at the
German Cancer Research Center studying the effect of different inhibitors on hepatocellular carcinoma cells and to join a lab at Oxford University where I studied an oxygenase utilizing X-Ray Crystallography.
I am excited to be moving into the (for me new) field of virology and RNA biology while writing my Master ́s thesis in the Steckelberg lab.
Outside of the lab I enjoy working out, dancing, reading and baking.
